eSqueeze, September 2003 TFT - ROMEO AND JULIET "My only love sprung from my only hate" Shakespeare's tale of two lovers from opposing families has enjoyed over 400 years of performances. Tight Fit Theatre is proud to add it to its impressive list of Shakespeare productions. Director Mark oldknow, responsible for the acclaimed productions of The Tempest and King Lear seen at the Swan, turns his creative eye to Romeo and Juliet. The emphasis is, as ever, on textual clarity and visual intensity. Played on a bare white stage by a small cast, Romeo and Juliet promises to be one of our finest productions, interweaving music, image and lighting with the poetry and beauty of a true literary masterpiece.
